Integrative Therapeutic Bodywork

About Me

A psychologist by training, I was fascinated early on by the field of somatic psychology - the study of the mind/body interface, the relationship between our physical matter and our psychological disposition, the interaction of our body structures with our emotional state and actions.

I deeply believe that our bodies hold the memory of trauma, anxiety and stress and that in order to ease the mind, one must address the body in general and, in my case, the myoskeletal system in particular.

The passion for body-centered psychotherapy led me to explore the possibilities of massage therapy as an essential tool for an integrated healing approach and I decided to train at the National Holistic Institute, Emeryville, California. After graduating from the 900 hours core program including a large variety of massage therapy modalities as well as kinesiology, pathology, physiology and anatomy, I received further training in their 450 hours Advanced Neuromuscular Program.

Certified by the State of of California as a Massage Therapist, I am also a NCBTMB certified provider for therapeutic massage modalities and an insured member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
